This is my take on the radio programme that was the rage of the age in the 1940s and 50s. I would rush home from school to listen to it and often had rows with my old man who preferred the racing results. The BBC brought it out on television recently with some success but the radio version couldn't be bettered. You had to use your imagination - even the BBC announcer was wearing a dinner jacket and bow-tie! - Mick Broderick
